Authorities have announced that live streaming of church services and other events in the UAE requires permission from the local media authority and the Department of Community Development (DCD). According to the e-Media Law, live streaming, including live streaming, falls under the category of ‘electronic media activities requiring a license’ and requires prior permission.
In the emirate of Abu Dhabi, applications for this must be submitted through the TAMM platform. Applicants can log in to this platform using their UAE PASS. The content broadcast must comply with UAE laws. Content that is defamatory, spreads rumors, or is harmful to the public is strictly prohibited.
