Case filed against Malayali nun in Chhattisgarh for allegedly trying to convert student

A case has been registered against a Malayali nun in Chhattisgarh for religious conversion. The police have registered a case against Sister Bincy Joseph, a native of Kottayam. Sister Bincy Joseph is the principal of Kunkuri Holy Cross Nursing College in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. The student lodged a complaint with the police against the sister on Sunday. The complaint states that the sister forced the student to convert. Meanwhile, the Holy Cross Nursing College has responded that the allegation is baseless.
Meanwhile, a similar incident took place in Odisha the other day. A Malayali priest was beaten up by the police in Odisha on charges of religious conversion. Father Joshi George was beaten up by the police. The incident took place at the Juba parish church in the Berhampur diocese. The beating was done on the grounds that you are Pakistanis and have come to convert to Christianity.
