Blaze leaves Ajmer church in ruins
A massive fire engulfed Saint Mary’s church in Ajmer on Saturday. The 125-year-old church, with parts built of wood, suffered extensive damage. Local residents said that the fire rapidly consumed the church’s roof. Bipin Basil from the Youth Christian Society confirmed that the church building suffered extensive loss. Despite the efforts of ten fire brigade vehicles, it took over four hours for the blaze to be contained, leaving the church in ruins.
