Country Celebrating its 79th Independence Day; Prime Minister hoists the flag at the Red Fort

The country is in the throes of its 79th Independence Day celebrations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort. With this, the country's Independence Day celebrations began. As the Prime Minister hoisted the flag, an army helicopter flew over the Red Fort with a flag reading Operation Sindoor.
The Prime Minister said that this is a festival of pride and that freedom is the realization of the dreams of crores of soldiers. The Constitution is the guide. This Red Fort is also a witness to the decisive achievements made in the field of technology. The Prime Minister wrote in a post shared on X that we can work hard to realize the dreams of the freedom fighters and build a developed India.
The national capital is under high security in view of the Independence Day celebrations. About twenty thousand police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed as part of security. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will hoist the tricolor at the new AICC headquarters, Indira Bhavan, as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
